An ATM is commissioned once and operated for years. Treating manufacture, install, and operations as separate stories produces gaps: machines that cannot be diagnosed, updates that cannot be verified, and service that starts from zero every visit.
The early life
Engineering, manufacture, test, and deployment set the machine’s identity. Configuration and network enrolment should happen as controlled steps, not as local improvisation.
The operating life
Monitoring, cash operations, preventative maintenance, and software updates are the daily work. This is where most of the value — and most of the cost — sits.
The later life
Components wear. Software ages. Locations change. A lifecycle view includes how machines are refurbished, re-sited, or retired without leaving orphaned devices on a network.
Manufacture is a date. Operations is the rest of the calendar.
